A little about us...

Our mission is to Go Make Disciples.

Our church does not take the Great Commission lightly. We desire to be the witnesses of God in the city of Harrodsburg, Mercer County and all throughout the world. Our passion is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His love for us in hopes that many will believe.

As a community of believers, here's what we hold as truths.

What We Believe

We believe in the Holy Bible and all of our beliefs, practices and doctrines are derived from God's Word. Nothing that we hold to be true comes from our own understanding or man's wisdom but only what is discerned from God's Word and His Divine revelation, Jesus Christ.

Who is God?

We believe in one God who exists in 3 persons as He has revealed Himself in the Holy Scriptures. The three persons in the Holy Trinity are God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. They share the same character but have distinct roles. (Genesis 1:1-2; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 40; John 1:1; Acts 5:3-4)

What is Scripture?

We believe the Bible is a collection of books penned by different human writers but inspired by the same author, the Holy Spirit. The Bible is completely true and trustworthy. God revealed Himself to us through Scripture to give us instruction and guidance on how we are to live. The Bible is able to make us wise and equip us to live in the manner for which we were created. (2 Timothy 3:15-16; 2 Peter 1:19-21)

What is salvation?

We believe that all have sinned and are in need of God’s forgiveness. The payment of sin is death. Due to our helpless situation, God loved us so much that He sent His Son Jesus to take the punishment for our sin on the cross. God’s gift of forgiveness is available to all through faith in Christ Jesus alone. Through confession of our sin and belief that God raised Jesus from the dead, we are given eternal salvation through Christ. (Romans 3:23; 6:23; John 3:16; 14:6; Romans 10:9)

What is the Church?

We believe the Church consists of those who have accepted God’s gift of salvation and who have committed to follow Jesus as their Lord and savior. The Holy Spirit dwells in each believer and He unites all of us in the body of Christ. The purpose of the Church is to equip believers to grow in godliness and to share the love of Christ to all people through the Gospel. (Ephesians 4:1-14)

What do we believe about baptism and the Lord's Supper?

We believe Jesus Christ gave us two holy symbolic acts that communicate the inner realities of the faith. Baptism by immersion symbolizes the washing away of our sins through faith in Christ. It also symbolizes our union with Christ’s death, burial and resurrection. The Lord’s Supper was instituted by Christ and symbolizes His body and blood sacrificed on our behalf. All those who have accepted God’s free gift of salvation are invited to participate in the taking of the Lord’s Supper. (Colossians 2:12; 2 Peter 3:21; Mark 1:9-10; Matthew 26:26-29; 1 Corinthians 11:24)
